Dear Friends,

Because of your support of the Foundation's 16th Annual Bowl-a-thon, we celebrate another record-breaker with net proceeds over $26,000, enough to purchase 50 NEW BEDS!

Thank you,

Special Events Committee

"The Bowl-a-thon has always been fun, but this year the teams and atmosphere seemed even more exciting, I think it's because we were bowling in our pajamas."

My parent's legacy of a happy, well-adjusted family will not end with me. Thank you, A New Leaf, for bringing hope and belief in myself back to me.

E.B. A New Leaf Resident

Greetings!

Torrie by Phil

A short time ago, we unexpectedly received Payless giftcards, using several for children who desperately needed shoes when they arrived to our homes with old worn-out flip flops. We saved the others for a rainy day.

That rainy day came last week, when one of the youth in our Residential Centers mother passed away. Thanks to the anonymous donor for this random act of kindness, he was able to attend the funeral with a new pair of shoes. Your generosity did much more than cover feet. It helped build self-esteerm and confidence in a sad young man.

YOUR support does more than meet basic needs. It encourages fragile children, builds their self-worth and solves everyday problems for those who often feel helpless in situations we sometimes take for granted.

Your compassion and kindness are greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Happy Fourth of July!

Torrie A. Taj, CFRE

Exec. VP of Resource Development

INCREDIBLE TALENT...WE CAN NOT  WASTE!
EVMC artwork
"Reflections" by EVMC resident John N.

This pencil art was created by a resident of the EVMC men's homeless shelter for A New Leaf Foundation's Bowl-a-thon auction. It is an image of one of the shelter's vacant rooms.

There is a popular video going around that you may have already viewed. The young homeless man performing in this video represents many who go unnoticed living on our streets. Some, fortunately, find their way to A New Leaf shelters. Some walk away with their lives transformed...because of you.

View this extremely moving and inspirational video.

GRAB A TISSUE BEFORE VIEWING.
